Exclamation point (!)
Exclamation marks are used for indicating excitement or strong feeling. Using them too many times in your essay will prove ineffective.
The trick is to just use a few for the dramatic effect, such as these:
Watch out for the motorcycle!
Happy birthday, Sarah!
